FOREST FIRES AND LONG-DISTANCE WATER TRANSPORT
Due to the deteriorating climatic conditions, when surface water is declining and there is mostly increasing drought, the risk of fires in forested landscapes is still growing. This raises the big problem of how to deal with this fire-fighting situation in these hard-to-reach terrains. The solution of such complex and large-scale fires not only depends on water dropping by helicopters and planes, but also on long-distance water transport, which is one of the most important pillars in fighting forest fires.
As the terrain is often difficult and it is hard to transport heavy firefighting equipment, we have developed a system that makes it easier to get to such difficult-to-reach places and to carry out this long-distance water transport in the shortest possible time and thus start immediate firefighting. Because fighting fire is like a race against time.
